Editorial policy
Independence is a set of refusals, not a slogan. These are ours, in writing, so you can tell when we break them.
Independence
- No brand, retailer or affiliate network sees a guide before it is published, approves a verdict or has any say in coverage.
- No paid placement, no sponsored guide, no paid review, and no arrangement where coverage is traded for product.
- Commission rates are never a ranking factor. A product sold only direct, with no affiliate program, can win a category.
- If a commercial relationship ever affects what a page can say, we will not publish the page.
Accuracy over speed
A new product launch is not a reason to publish. We cover a product when there is enough verifiable material about it to say something useful, which for a new release often means waiting until owner feedback exists and the warranty terms are actually published.
Where a question is open, the page says it is open. "We do not know yet" is a legitimate sentence and it appears on this site.
Adult content and tone
This site is for adults and labels itself as such for filtering software. We write about bodies and sex in plain, clinical-when-useful language. We do not use titillation as a selling device, and we do not moralize about what anyone enjoys.
Guides are written to be usable regardless of gender, orientation or relationship structure. Where anatomy matters to a recommendation we name the anatomy rather than assuming the reader.
What we will not publish
- Content that presents any product as a treatment for a medical condition.
- Anything that frames a toy as a substitute for consent, negotiation or basic safety practice.
- Scare marketing: invented risk used to sell a more expensive product.
- Material about anyone who is not a consenting adult, in any form.
Use of automation
We use software to gather and structure public data: specification sheets, retailer terms, aggregated owner feedback. Judgement, wording and verdicts are editorial, and the responsibility for an error is ours, not a tool.
No page is published without a human reading it against its sources.
