About PleasureVerdict
A research desk for sex toy buying decisions, published in eight market versions, with its method and its limits in writing.
PleasureVerdict exists because this category is badly served. Search results are dominated by retailers ranking their own stock and by affiliate lists that never explain a single decision. Meanwhile the questions people actually have are specific and answerable: is this material safe inside the body, will this lube damage this toy, does this app still work if the company shuts the server down, what happens if it fails in month eight.
So the site is built around answerable questions. Each guide names the factors that decide the outcome, cites where its facts come from, and tells you who should ignore its recommendation.
What you can hold us to
- Every figure carries its origin: manufacturer, retailer listing, aggregated owner feedback or a regulatory document. See how we review.
- No invented measurement, no invented score, no claim of personal testing. Our evidence base today is documentary and the site says so on every recommendation page.
- Affiliate commission never decides a verdict, and the arrangement is set out in our affiliate disclosure.
- Errors are corrected in public, on our corrections page.
Eight versions, written for eight markets
Price, retailer availability, plug standards and consumer law are not the same in Sydney as in Berlin, so the site is published in eight versions: United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, France, Canadian French, Germany and Italy. You pick yours from the header and nothing redirects you against your will.
Guides are written once per language and the market details are filled in per version, which is how a UK reader gets sterling and UK retailers without reading a page that was rewritten four times by hand and drifted four different ways.
Who we are not
We are not clinicians and we do not give medical advice. We can describe materials, explain what guidance on pH and osmolality says and point to the primary documents. If you have pain, an infection, a skin condition or you are pregnant or post-surgery, that is a conversation with a healthcare professional and not with a website.
We are also not a shop. We hold no stock, take no payment and ship nothing. If an order goes wrong, the retailer is your counterparty, though we are glad to hear about it because a pattern of bad service is a fact about a retailer.
